Can I Book an Intro Session?
Absolutely! We invite newcomers to try a BJJ or MMA class — just fill out our form or call to reserve your spot.
Is 10th Planet Birmingham suitable if I don’t want to compete?
Yes, we support students who train for fitness, personal growth, or self-defense—competition is completely optional.
What programs are available?
We offer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (no-gi), MMA, and kickboxing classes for adults at all levels.
How do I get started as a complete beginner?
Book a free trial class and a coach will explain everything, provide guidance, and ensure a comfortable experience from day one.
Are drop-ins accepted?
Yes—we welcome visiting athletes for drop in sessions in BJJ, MMA, and kickboxing. Please contact us ahead to reserve.
Do I need any martial arts experience to join 10th Planet Birmingham?
No experience is required! We gladly welcome complete beginners as well as seasoned martial artists, tailoring coaching to each individual's level.
Are your coaches experienced and approachable?
Our coaches, led by Matt Elkins, are highly knowledgeable, welcoming, and personally invested in every student’s progress.
